Execute activities to develop original and modify existing operating procedures and documents. Execute Procedure Change Requests (PCR) and support validation and verification of the Operating functions procedures. Follow all regulatory, operating policies & principles, nuclear standards, industrial safety, and environmental protection requirements while processing procedures.

Procedure Development and Maintenance

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Draft new procedures and documents including General, Normal, Abnormal, and Emergency Operating Procedures to ensure procedures are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry leading practices.
  • Review existing procedures and documents to ensure the procedures are up to date and relevant.
  • Liaise with the Nawah procedures organization to ensure Operations procedures are aligned with Nawah criteria and requirements.
  • Execute Procedure Change Request (PCR) activities for all responsible procedures to ensure the procedures are updated throughout the lifecycle of the plant.
  • Coordinate with others in the Operations Procedure Group to track procedure changes during development and/ or revision to ensure procedural alignment across Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP).
  • Verify all new and revised procedures and documents are written in accordance with the current Nawah Procedure Writer’s Guides to ensure alignment with plant requirements
  • Verify that new or revised procedures and documents are delivered in a timely manner to the Document Control Management System to ensure availability for plant personnel.
  • Conduct additional technical and administrative tasks as assigned by the Operations Procedures Manager to ensure operational readiness.
  • Participate, schedule, conduct and oversee the Verification and Validation of Operations Procedures.

Training and Qualification

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Participate in initial and requalification training to obtain and maintain the required technical knowledge level, skills, and proficiency for the Operations Procedure Group.
  • Participate in periodic workshops and seminars to maintain awareness of recent changes at BNPP.
  • Contribute to benchmarking missions with the goal of improving personal and departmental performance to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry leading practices.
  • Provide continuous improvement training feedback on program effectiveness to enhance quality of training.

Performance Improvement

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Participate in benchmarking and assessments to assist in the continuous improvement of department performance.
  • Assist with Corrective Action Plan activities as assigned.
  • Qualify and perform any Causal Evaluations, as assigned by the Operations Procedures Manager.
  • Track Operations Procedures KPIs and take the lead in investigating deviations from expectations to inform path to improvement.

Department Leadership and Development

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Assist with project management, budgeting, procurement and SAP entry.
  • Assist with development of long-term strategies, including procedure development, manning, strategic sourcing and other efficiency improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain departmental schedules in the Station Scheduling System (P6 or equivalent).

Health and Safety, Security, and Business Continuity

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Follow all relevant company’s Health and Safety policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure compliance in all aspects of work as per sound management practices. Apply these policies and procedures to self and others to ensure reasonable care of the health and safety of the employee; the environment; and various individuals who may be affected by the employee’s acts or omissions at work.
  • Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets.
  • Follow all relevant Business Continuity and Resilience requirements for compliance with, and adherence to, policies, procedures and instructions related to the effective planning for, and response to, incidents or business disruptions in order to continue critical business processes and activities with minimal adverse impact.

Skills

  • Bachelor of Science Degree
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
