We are seeking a dynamic instructional leader, who demonstrates a high level of turnaround leadership skills to lead one of our reputed British Curriculum school towards excellence.

Job Purpose

The School Principal serves as the administrative and instructional leader of the school, responsible for managing the policies, regulations, and procedures to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe learning environment in compliance to the KHDA framework. He/She assumes full responsibilities for all aspects of the school including implementation of the instructional program, school improvement plans, SEF, curriculum development, extracurricular activities, discipline system, emergency procedures, and facilities operation, school/community relations, business affairs and the utilization and development of staff and faculty.

Job Scope

The prospective candidate is expected to have sufficient exposure to DSIB inspection frameworks and to provide overall leadership to the school from FS1 to key stage 2- pedagogically, administratively as well as positioning the school as an innovative 21st Century learning environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Vision, Mission and Education Strategy : Establish the vision, mission and education strategy for the school and systematically implement long term plans in order to accomplish turnover results.
  • Operational Leadership : Provide professional leadership in terms of curriculum development in order to deliver consistently high standards of education.
  • Teaching Learning & assessments:Inspire a love of learning, empower excellence in education and drive continuous improvement through robust assessment and data analytics techniques through evidence based solutions with deep insights in teaching and learning focused on pioneering advancements to drive student success.
  • Progress and attainment : Ensure high quality performance measurement for each student in order to raise the standard of academic achievement and improve the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Pastoral Care : Create and foster a culture of Pastoral care at every level with respect to teachers and students and promote responsible stewardship in order to ensure that the educational objectives are delivered and the morale of the school community is maintained to expected standards.
  • Performance Management : Ensure that well developed performance management systems are properly implemented within the school to track the performance of teachers, admin and support staff in order to maintain and enhance expected achievement standards of school performance.
  • School Procedures and Processes : Establish education and administration procedures and processes in order to facilitate the school strategy effectively and efficiently and implement all standard operating procedures as identified by corporate office.
  • Inclusive education : Ensure that the school experience is designed and enriched to promote the comprehensive, balanced and value based development of each student. Ensure that the Group Core Values are embedded and lived, in order to build a consistent and distinctive value framework for educating students with special needs, gifted & talented and real learning opportunities are enjoyed by each child.
  • Relationship Management : Establish and maintain good relationship between all stakeholders- school and the community, in order to widen the educational horizons of students, build good community relations and favorably project the image of the school, promoting positively the services provided by the Leams Education.
  • Resource Management : Effectively utilise and manage all resources including staff, equipment and infrastructure in order to run a cost-effective business unit.
  • Human Resource Development : Ensure that the school is staffed with high caliber professionals who are motivated, trained, developed, engaged and retained to deliver the schools education and business objectives. Participate in the selection of teaching admin and Support staff and organise appropriate induction and training to enhance effectiveness.
  • School Information System : Ensure that all vital information about the school and academic achievements are captured and reported so that timely and appropriate management decisions are taken.
  • School Administration : Effectively and smoothly administer all support facilities such as transport, health services, maintenance and infrastructure in order to ensure an efficient and well run school, also ensuring the school complies with the Group internal audit criteria.
  • Feedback to Parents and Students : Provide parents with timely feedback about the academic and general progress of their children in order to create a partnership to ensure students’ growth and progress. Organise parent-teacher meetings. Provide students with feedback on their strengths and performance improvement needs so they can monitor their own progress. Promote the Groups parental engagement strategy. Maintain appropriate records for this purpose.
  • Ensure the Groups policies, procedures and codes of conduct are followed at all times.
  • Initiate effort and energy beyond the typical work day, where the tasks require additional commitment.
  • Enrolment of students in school and optimum utilisation of school facilities.
  • Internal & external stakeholders satisfaction with the delivery of education offered.
  • Achievement of profit and revenue targets.
  • Meeting the quality and performance standards set for school.
  • Staff satisfaction and morale.

Desired Qualifications:

Master Degree or Doctorate in Education Management/Administration.

Having worked as Principal or Vice-principal for minimum of 3-5 years.

Experience in UAE will be an added advantage.

Native English Speaker preferred.

Proven track record in leadership and pedagogic excellence will be a key differentiator.
