New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Student Success and Well-being Coordinator, reporting to the Director, Student Success and Well-being.

The Student Success and Well-being Coordinator will assist the greater Student Success and Well-Being team in providing support operationally and logistically to the services of the functional areas within the department. The Coordinator will provide a broad range of administrative and clerical work to support the mission and vision of the overall department.

The Coordinator will support the Student Success & Well-Being Department in a variety of capacities, including but not limited to: providing logistical support and coverage for all programming and initiatives including RealAD; collating data and integrating into presentations, supporting with social media, budgetary tracking support for the department (including purchase requisitions, reimbursements, and utilizing the electronic procurement system), and assisting with sending out communications and campaigns utilizing various email marketing software, platforms and integrations that are key to the Department.

This position will also include sending out feedback surveys and optimization of workflow processes in scheduling student success coaching sessions. The coordinator will be responsible for collating and compiling multi-vector and multivariate data received from event feedback surveys, coaching session feedback surveys, focus groups, scheduling logs and other arenas of guided assessments to create reports and presentations to assist the greater Student Success and Well-being team in constantly aligning the work collectively to the mission and vision of the division.

The Duties of this role may at times, involve being exposed to data that may be sensitive in nature and require confidentiality.

The position may require evening and weekends commitments during the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

Data analysis and reporting:

  • Performs a wide range of administrative duties including developing systematic workflows to collate multi-variant data from Student Success Coaching sessions and Health Promotions programming feedback assessments
  • Utilizing the data matrix and creating comprehensive reports and presentations periodically in helping guide the work of all functional areas individually and collaboratively that aligns to the mission and vision of the Department

Scheduling and Operational functions:

  • Support with Supporting the operational functions of Student Success. This includes scheduling appointments for Student Success Coaching, sending feedback surveys post-session, assisting with optimization and efficiency in coaching session scheduling across Student Success Coaches and creating periodic summaries

Logistics and Administrative duties:

  • Coordinating Health Promotions programming logistics, management of RSVPs, event and travel logistics, scheduling guided assessments via feedback surveys, focus groups, and other program-related information that ensures smooth operations, maintains records, and other materials accurately according to relevant policies, procedures, laws, and regulations
  • This position will also coordinate aspects of training/development and capacity building opportunities for staff and students pertinent to the department

Budget tracking:

  • Oversees day-to-day office budgets and operations within allocated budget related to event promotions, logistics, room bookings, catering orders, budget expense tracking, budget reconciliations and breakdown. Prepares and processes reimbursements and provides ad-hoc support on as needed basis for the department

RealAD logistical support:

  • Providing support for all logistics related to the RealAD show. This includes booking space, catering orders, audition promotion, creating contracts, organizing travel arrangements, budgetary support, pamphlet creation and printing, coordinating with the NYUAD Special Events team and external vendors when applicable, sending out communications on various platforms key to the department. In addition, this role will require to be present on the day for event support.
  • Assist with Student Affairs divisional functional teams and various divisional projects/events.


Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Education:

  • Certification in Office Administration or Project Management

Required Experience:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills; candidates also possessing comparable Arabic language proficiency will receive priority consideration
  • Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects on tight deadlines, organized work habits, consistent accuracy, and attentiveness to detail
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a comparable position, preferably in international education with college students, or alternatively with a multi-national corporation or established international company, private organization, or governmental body operating in the UAE
  • Capacity to work collegially and flexibly in a start-up setting characterized by a complex organizational structure
  • Proficiency in operating all systems on Google and Microsoft.
  • Advanced data management skills; ability to use and adapt spreadsheet software for accounting
  • Professional maturity and judgment, including exceptional discretion and a capacity for resourceful initiative in a team context
  • Ability to work nights and weekends over the academic year
  • Excellent presentation, written, and oral communication skills
  • Good judgment, discretion, independence, and initiative. A capacity to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
  • An ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects on tight deadlines, organized work habits, consistent accuracy, and attentiveness to detail

Preferred Experience:

  • Developing systems that optimize workflow processes in logistical operations
  • Experience in collating and sorting multi-variant, multi-vector data into reports and presentations
  • Experience working with diverse populations and cultural contexts, including experience and familiarity working with higher education and student affairs
  • Developing sustainable workflow processes in executing administrative tasks
  • An understanding of best practices in University/Student health education
  • Familiarity with Mental Health and Active Listening skills
