Job description: What you will do
The Pricing Manager, MEA will report directly to the Strategy, M&A, and Transformation Director, Middle East & Africa. You will be based in Dubai and responsible for developing strategies and driving pricing tools for all lines of business (e.g., HVAC, Controls, Fire, Security, Digital) products and services by leveraging market research, utilizing technical expertise, and analyzing competitor’s positioning to grow Johnson Control’s market share and expand margins in the Middle East & Africa region. You will evaluate effectiveness of pricing strategies, develop pricing models, identify gaps and opportunities, recommend pricing actions for the offered products/services by using internal cost information and external data to analyze market trends and competitiveness. This role will be focused to expand profit margins and sales volumes by developing accurate pricing and profitability models.

As a member of this team, you will work within a dynamic environment that provides a platform for you to have immediate and long-term impact on the future success of JCI at a regional level.

How you will do it
As a Pricing Manager you will use your in-depth technical expertise to develop product pricing, review proposed offering and forecast profit margins to understand the impact of promotional and seasonal pricing. You will utilize your strong data analytical skills to develop and drive the right pricing strategies and maintain detailed records for the products that can be used to evaluate future market trends and future pricing decisions. You will be able to track the impact of pricing changes on growth rates, profitability and perform analysis to understand customer price sensitivity, and the impact of pricing changes to the business, advice to sales and product management on transactional and strategic pricing decisions to drive margin growth through pricing effectiveness, build strong relationships and act as strategic partner for product management and sales leadership teams on pricing-related issues. You will be also working on improving our Commercial DOA model and drive the improvement and/or launch of pricing tools used by our HVAC, Controls, Fire & Security businesses across the region.

As a subject matter expert, you will use your significant knowledge to help product teams to develop price for new product and services launches. You are a strong product pricing strategic communicator with a positive customer- oriented attitude combined with sound financial and business judgement able to be self-directed and operate under general guidance.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/industrial engineering, finance, or equivalent
  • Minimum 8 years of work experience as a Pricing Analyst within Engineering or Building Solutions industry
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills (verbal, written, and listening) for a variety of audiences, with the ability to communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders and senior leadership team
  • Strong business acumen to communicate, collaborate, support with sales management
  • Ability to create and modify price models using statistical and data base tools
  • Deep understanding of the target product line(s), including product portfolio, profitability, manufacturing costs and target applications
  • Ability to conduct rigorous analysis, drive insights from both internal and industry data, and build high quality financial models. Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, across all levels and environments
  • Self-starter, tireless and results-driven mentality, able to continually challenge & optimize performance
  • Fluent language skills English.


  • Recent or past experience of using Sales Force, Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ),Finance Management and/or other Pricing systems
