Job Description SummaryAs the Customer Education Technical Support you’ll provide technical support primarily for the Education Services team at GE Digital. This will include database repairs, technical support, software installation, software upgrades, and database management and migration for on-premise installed systems, virtual machine, and cloud-based software. You’ll also leverage subject matter experts and product management to learn new technical software management and follow documentation for installation and upgrades.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesOwn the resolution of technical issues related to training environments.Develop conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.You’ll apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience.Resolve issues using established procedures.Collaborate with others to solve issues and for customer facing roles, you’ll develop strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE.Exchange technical information, asks questions, and checks for understanding.Required QualificationsYou’ll have basic experience in the Services & Technical Support.Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or an Engineering based subject.You’ll be a quick learner proficient with database management, reporting, and learning management systems.Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.Strong oral and written communication skills, is organized and detail oriented.You’ll have the ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.You’ll be able to ‘think outside the box’ with a strong desire/capability to problem solve, investigate/troubleshoot issues autonomously, and evaluate processes to find efficiency.Additional InformationGE offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
