Job Purpose:

Managing and running communications across ENEC and its subsidiaries’ functions and campuses. Internal communications comprise of intranet, newsletters, memos, employee satisfaction, and other initiatives pertaining to the dissemination of information and the engagement of employees.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

Activity: Operational Planning

  • Provide input into the development of the Division’s systems, processes and procedures, as well develop and implement the Department’s systems and processes, identifying potential areas of improvement to ensure efficient, effective, safe and risk-free operations as well as compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor, control and report operational and financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to the Department, to track performance and recommend corrective or mitigating actions.
  • Ensure that all relative reports are prepared timely and accurately, and meet the Department’s requirements and standards.

Activity: Internal Communications

  • Design and implement employee engagement activities, especially between staff and senior management
  • Develop and maintain internal communications plan, in coordination with the appropriate stakeholders and in line with the Org overall strategy
  • Facilitate strategic connections and conversations within the Org through internal public relation activities
  • Develop and manage employee satisfaction surveys in coordination with Business Excellence Survey team to understand employee audiences and stakeholders, link them to the corporate objectives and initiatives, and use the data to drive employee awareness and engagement
  • Identify key stakeholders within the Org to develop and convey key messages for a selected target audience and provide input to internal communications plan in accordance
  • Initiate, develop and manage communication channels (intranet, newsletter, memos, etc.) across all the Org functions, selecting the most effective channels and messages to positively shape employee behaviors and attitudes as well as drive corporate results
  • Equip the Org leadership to promote and drive HCT’s desirable values to their subordinates
  • Measure the effectiveness of internal communications, inform strategic planning about the outcome of the communications and develop improvement solutions as and when necessary.

Activity: Stakeholder Engagement

  • Manage the communication of both internal and external stakeholders in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships.

Activity: People Management

  • Manage the effective achievement of organization’s objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff, provision of formal and informal feedback and appraisal – in order to maximize subordinate and department performance.
  • Contribute to the development of UAE National employees in a manner which supports the objectives of the corporation and its Emiratization strategy.
  • Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of UAE Nationals where applicable and maximize their effective performance.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to Crisis Management and Business Continuity in order to continue mission-critical activities.

Activity: Excellence & Quality Management

  • Ensure commitment to culture of excellence and Quality Management by implementing best practices, complying with excellence requirements in terms of policies, procedures and systems, and exceeding stakeholders expectations.

Activity: HSE, Security & Continuity of Operation

  • Implement HSEMS requirement; properly plan and control work activities for ensuring safety; asses HSE risks of both routine and non-routine activities; take appropriate corrective and preventive actions to mitigate any immediate or future risks; ensure employees receive appropriate training and information and comply with ENEC HSE policy, procedures and instructions; maintain Safety Conscious Work Environment (SCWE); solicit employee feedback on HSE; utilize opportunities to learn about ways to ensure/ improve safety.
  • Follow all relevant Security policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure security compliance in all aspects of work, by applying them on self, others and Corporate assets.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate requirements for adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to Crisis Management and Business Continuity in order to continue mission-critical activities.

Skills
