Job overview, Provide prompt efficient and effective IT services for the Hotel and the day-to-day support of the Hotel and carry out all the tasks delegated by superiors. Duties and Responsibilities FINANCIAL RETURNS • To maximize the business value and Hotel Revenues from the effective and efficient use of Information Technology in the Hotel by ensuring the Hotel Computer Systems are installed and operating according to company standards, policy and procedures. • To maintain and secure Computer hardware at an optimum level. • To manage and prioritise any IT problems, impacting either revenue and/or the guest, for quick resolution and to back up the Director of Information Technology (for daily operations). • Tactically assist Director of Information Technology in managing the day-to-day business with key internal/external relationships. In the absence of Director of Information Technology assume his role. PEOPLE • Technology coordinator must deal hands-on with; customer complaints and internal complaints very frequently. Therefore must be able to react efficiently and keep calm even under difficult circumstances. • To assist managing the physical security of any computer room. • Serves as the primary contact for internal and external customers. • To stay up-to-date with technology change, trends and future in the hospitality industry and in general. • To assist in managing twice a year a Technology Audit of the hotel following audit document provided by the Divisional Office. GUEST EXPERIENCE • Communicates politely and display courtesy to guests and internal customers • Communicates to superiors any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information. • Anticipate Guests needs, propose and implement the new technology whenever needed to enhance the guest experience. • Maintain a high level of knowledge with latest happenings and trends which affects the Guest experience • Taking appropriate action to resolve guest complaints RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS • Help the Director of Information Technology to maintain full up-to-date systems full set of manuals in Technology Department. • Escalate the issues to the Director of Information Technology and the vendor support whenever required. • Technology Coordinator should assist the Director of Information Technology to make sure all the internal computers and related equipment are PCI compliant. • Technology Coordinator should assist the Director of Information Technology to maintain a log for all problems and all maintenance calls. • Help the Director of Information Technology to maintain a full up-to-date inventory for all computer and related hardware including the telecommunications related computer equipment’s. Detailing Purchase date, Price, Serial Number, Model Number, expected replacement date and maintenance where applicable. • Help the Director of Information Technology to maintain a full up-to-date Software list including all operating systems backed up by the original licenses or invoice, detailing Software licenses, Purchase date, Price (where applicable), release number, and maintenance (where applicable) • Help the Director of Information Technology to maintain a full up-to-date inventory per PC, all Software applications installed including location and release number. • Help the Director of Information Technology to maintain a full up-to-date schematic diagram, identifying all main systems including interfaces, reservation system, E-Mail and Call Accounting System. • Help the Director of Information Technology to maintain a full up-to-date diagram or listing identifying all patching information for the IT Patch Panel(s). - At least One (2) year in systems support and administration. • A College Degree in Computer Science or a related field • Hotel experience in IT or Operation is desirable • Fluency in the English Language both spoken and written is a must and knowledge in the Arabic Language will be an advantage. Must also have experience in the following: • Microsoft OS (Servers & Workstation) • SQL, MS-Access & Oracle • Desktop application MS Office, Exchange & Outlook, etc. Maintenance of computer hardware and installation of various software.
