The purpose of the role is to help Pearson ELL MENA meet its financial targets for 2022 and beyond through providing Business Development support to Pearson Test of English. This will include help to sell the PTE products or services in the region by attracting new business and nurturing the existing relationships with key stakeholders, with key focus on customer needs and priorities. The candidate is expected to provide timely and regular reports and continuous feedback. Although the role will be based in UAE, it requires travel across the Gulf countries.

The focus will be on supporting the PTE Team in MENA, specifically UAE and Saudi Arabia in the area of market and business development for High Stakes English Assessment, specifically the PTE products.

The post will involve close liaison with other team members and will report to the Head of PTE, MENA to identify and fulfil customer and business requirements in a proactive, timely and efficient manner.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Accountabilities:

Develops and executes a strategy for discovering and securing new business opportunities either locally, regionally, or nationally.

Works with the local and global teams to plan and execute business strategies.

Engages with Education Institutions and Local Government authorities in the region to gain recognition for PTE tests.

Assesses potential third-party associates (Education institutions, agents, Language schools and more) in terms of income potential and brand/mission fit.

Adapts new business strategies in accordance with the types of existing associates.

Evaluates, determines, and realizes quarterly and annual business growth goals.

Represents the company at trade organizations, conferences, education fairs&events, and during internal meetings, when necessary.

Creates a business development database in order to evaluate performance and organize associate and prospective associate information.

Fosters beneficial relationships with business associates, potential associates, and other key stakeholders in order to attract new business and enhance Pearson’s and PTE’s reputation.

Closes new business deals by developing and negotiating contracts.

Working Pattern :

Flexible working required along with extensive domestic and international travel within the Gulf countries. Expected days of work would be Monday- Friday. Five day working week; 9:00- 6:00pm. Person will be expected to be office based whilst not with customers.

Qualifications-Specification:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, education or a related field.

Native or fluent Arabic speaker

Minimum of B2 level of English; Speaking and Writing proficiency is a must, and will be tested at recruitment stage.

2 years of experience in Business Development, preferably in Student Recruitment, International Education, Language Testing or Education industries.

Strong reporting skills. Ability to learn systems quickly.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, organizational abilities

Strong interpersonal skills to work with staff at all levels of the organization.

Office Applications and Internet literacy

Driver’s License
