Job title: Catering Supervisor

Job Purpose: Ensure the provision of adequate catering services and ensure full compliance with statutory regulations regarding food and hygiene. Coordinate overall facilitates maintenance services. Key Accountabilities Job Specific Accountabilities: Supervise the provision of catering services which includes allocating waiters to ensure efficient deployment of waiters and render high standard of services. Supervise daily fresh and frozen food supplies delivered by the contractors, ensuring that the standard quality and validity/expiry date meets the requirements, and storing such supplies in the appropriate manner. Inspect daily food supplies in the store and refrigerators prior to handing over for cooking and serving, ensuring their suitability for consumption. Ensure returning of unsuitable and inconsumable food supplies to the contractor. Oversee daily cleanliness of the kitchen, cafeteria and restaurant service counters and all food and beverage outlets. Supervises catering services for meetings, seminars, conferences and for other important gathering at HQ building, and other special locations. Plan the requirements of catering facilities and material, prepares purchase requisitions, and ensures timely availability of catering materials with optimum inventory holding. Maintains a record of all supplies required and creates an inventory to track any shortages. Prepare the scope of service for the tenders that are issued to contractors and provide amendments/improvements to such contracts. Evaluate and assesses proposals that are submitted by all bidders to recommend contractor’s specifications. Monitor contractor’s performance and ensure that contracted personnel perform their duties as per the terms of their contracts. Examine contractor’s invoices for service rendered received before submitting to Finance for payment. Prepare monthly activity report of related expenditure for compilation. Coordinate civil, electrical, mechanical, air conditioning, utilities, refurbishing and overall building maintenance services. Generic Accountabilities Supervision: – Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives. Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives. Budgets: Provide input for preparation of the Department/ Section budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved Budget and work plans to deliver Section objectives. Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control. Policies, Systems, Processes, & Procedures: Implement approved Department / Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Department / Section’s work programs in line with Company and International standards. Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations. Performance Management: Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department / Section in line with the Company Performance framework. Innovation and Continuous Improvement Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes. Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function. Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices Reports Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Internal Line Manager, Subordinates and peers. External Contractors, third party service providers. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Minimum Qualification Diploma in Catering & Hospitality or equivalent. Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills 6 years of experience TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: As per approved competency dictionary. BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES: As per approved competency dictionary.
