Job description: The job holder will be responsible for managing data systems and ensuring information accuracy to support business operations and requirements. Leading a team to drive analytics consumption across multiple business functions in a fast paced environment
DO — Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with business users and product owners to understand their business requirements.
- Lead the creation of analytics strategy and roadmap based on business needs and objectives
- Provide subject matter expertise in multiple retail domains; assist teams with extracting maximum value from mined data
- Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting
- Define company-wide metrics and relevant data sources
- Select, configure and implement analytics solutions
- Lead and develop a team of data analysts
- Build systems to transform raw data into actionable business insights
- Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and improve performance
Relevant Experience
- 6+ years of experience working in the field of retail, e-commerce, customer analytics, marketing analytics and product analytics
- Experienced in delivering end to end customer focused projects such as customer segmentation, customer lifetime value, customer churn, product recommendations etc
- Strong working knowledge on programming languages as Python and data science libraries (Pandas, Scikit-learn)
- Intermediate to Advanced SQL Skills – Joins, Window functions, pivots, etc.
- Experience working in modern BI Applications like Power BI, MicroStrategy, Looker, Tableau
- Knowledge and Experience with BigQuery, Snowflake and RedShift
- Experience working in Google Cloud platforms or AWS
- Ability to interpret business questions and provide solutions through appropriate analytics models
- Experience in successfully leading a team to drive analytics consumption across multiple business functions in a fast paced environment
